Off the top of my head - there is no ring modulater effect in Sonar 7 or in any Sonar for that matter. I use GR4 or Guitar Rig, there should be a free ring modulater effect, I would try KRV - a website that has free plugs and links.

Does sonitus suite have modulator? I have to go back and look at what was included then.

^^ that works pretty well, but you need to use it with some kind of distortion to get the best results.

That should do it!  Not bad for free!  Didn't realize I had already installed that one.

Just run it through a guitar amp sim like AmpliTube or TH3 with distortion, for the finishing touch!

There's a ring mod in the TH3 too. I've never run a vocal through it, but french horn was fun.

The Dalek sound is not a ring modulator.
It is a fast square wave tremolo.

Scroll back in the thread, the pedal I linked to is the exact model used on the show. Definitely a ring modulator.

You can see the ring mod being used at 02:13 :

Before the reboot, the BBC Radiophonic Workshop used a ring modulator made by their in house engineer, and later a EMS Putney VCS3. The carrier was a tape on a loop. Sometimes the tape speed would get switched on accident, so some episodes have the dalek voices pitched noticeably higher.

A deep chesty bawl echoes from rimrock to rimrock, rolls down the mountain, and fades into the far blackness of the night. It is an outburst of wild defiant sorrow, and of contempt for all the adversities of the world. - Aldo Leopold

Not really a solution for your purposes, but an interesting page nonetheless:

The Melda ring modulator posted earlier is free, and will do exactly what you want. I'd also pick up the free Softube Saturation Knob. Used together, you get a damn good dalek voice.
