Dark Electric Version of "Make You Feel My Love"

About a year ago a young lady walked into our studio wanting to record a piano cover of "Make You Feel My Love", which has been done about a zillion times before ...

She had never sung before outside her bathroom and had her mind set on a piano version just like the ones she watched on YouTube ...

I talked her into trying an electronic version of the song because I felt it would suit her voice and give her a chance to unlearn the version of the song she had truly learned by heart ...

Well, here it is - it took her 10 months to overcome her shyness and allow me to put it online for her friends. Listen in, and feel free to comment in any way.

BTW there is no melodyne involved on purpose. No other dirty tricks. This was her practise run for the paid session with a professional piano player ... and training run for me to see if I could do something different in a short timeframe ...

EDIT:
FYI - this is a demo, and thus has not been mastered, ...

    Great voice, for sure.

I like the use of two percussion tracks panned left and right... Certainly flies in the face of convention and it works fine for this song arrangement.

Nice version of the song.  Most of all, I love her voice and the way her performance is subtle, almost understated.  Great job.

    Thanks for the feedback :-)

I'll pass that on to the artist - I think she needs a little reassurance anyway to get her working on more material ...

Love how her confidence builds as the instrumentation builds. Very nice work and good choice of instruments. She's going to be very good.
