Dark Elf

A few months ago I wrote a song to test the new Garitan Personal Orchestra 5. I was trying to write something in the style of Danny Elfman, but I don't know how close I got. Anyway, I thought I'd post it.

Sounds pleasant enough here. had to go find some of Mr Elfman's work to get a measure for comparison.  Probably got it close considering his score was probably recorded with an orchestra.

That was nice...   and FWIW, yeah, I was getting a Danny Elfman vibe from it.   The next Tim Burton movie perhaps?

I think you did a very nice job on this! Sounds really nice and the melody has just the right amount of that mysterious quirkiness that Elfman writes.

Thank you everyone. I've been trying to improve my orchestration chops over the past 2 years, so its good to hear I wrote something listenable.

One of the more well-arranged and interesting instrumental pieces I've heard on this forum -- good job!  (even though I prefer Elfman in Oingo.)
