all analog - in his garage john mellencamp did that in the early 80's in a barn - for his"uh huh" album written and recorded in 2 weeks - of course digital wasnt around back then - but boy is that "uh huh" album a cool sounding raw rock mix one of the most RAW rocking albums ever IMHO - cool - lots of different ways to make great music - havnt heard the foo fighters album yet - but I have always thought Dave Grohl was a better singer and over all musician than Kurt Cobain was - but Kurt maybe had better lyrics and more of the rock n roll type of leadership chip on my shoulder for a band -

Going back to analog? You gotta be crazy... but I guess all geniuses have to be somewhat insane, else they wouldn't be so great. Ever met a drummer with his head on straight? He's probably no good. FRESH POT! -Dave Grohl

As much as I really like his music, he seems like a strange person. Who knows, maybe that's the idea. He said "I was in F'ng Nirvana ........... ". I enjoyed watching the video either way. Thanks for posting Batsbrew, that was cool! Now I can "X" one less strive to be person off of my list, and I don't mean you Batsbrew, I mean Dave Grohl! At least I can speak without feeling the nervous habit of %*$)#@(@)@ cursing . I'm just kidding, except for saying thanks for posting, that was cool to watch.

Kinda tired of all the politically correct crap - say what you mean and mean what you say. Grohl's studio is the kind of deal I could easily spend the rest of my days in.

Kinda tired of all the politically correct crap - say what you mean and mean what you say. Grohl's studio is the kind of deal I could easily spend the rest of my days in. I was joking earlier. And your right he was being honest with his vocabulary. It is sad that people talk that way because everybody knows those are offensive words. As I've gotten older I realize that I don't wanna associate with anybody who doesn't respect me enough especially in public to avoid foul language, the reason why is you can never tell when someone is joking/upset and are really being honest with you when they speak to you, it opens pandora's box so to speak, you never know if they are joking or being real if they laugh and tell you go wherever, especially in the work place. Just my opinion, but At least I'm being honest and speaking from the heart. No offense meant there either. I like his studio, but it goes without saying that if you are an individual the way he talked about mixing and recording your outa luck with that setup because it requires more than one person to operate.
