    Yeah they are starting to get their format down and I am hoping there will be some juicy tips coming. The one about timing compression release to the beat of the song was a good one.
     
    I got to meet Dave a few months back at a seminar and he is still recovering from his stroke. Glad to see he is on the mend.

    Yes, and it is one very good reason why a mixer might want to see an accurate parameter reading rather than simply using their ears while setting up compression.

    I use a basic tempo and timing calculator to learn the note lengths of what ever instrument track I am working with.

    Then I can consider that info while adjusting and listening.
