I don't know if it is that bad?  AVID announce that they close PRO TOOL as platform. They give up they never could update it to x64.
No...we can joke about it but ..honestly what do you think will happen? I think nothing will happen. ...or perhaps something big will happen after all? They talk about Mayan indian but the calendar never ends. It just one of the long count that start over again.  long-count calendar—which spans roughly 5,125 years. And then we have Nostradamu... never been wrong so far...Hister= Hitler and so on..so perhaps something will happen.

Well, if X2a is released on December 21, 2012 it might be doomed !?!

And if it doesn't bring some of the fixes we are dearly waiting for, Dec 21, 2012 might actually be the end of the VS-700 world. We already see a lot of panic sales going on

The 21 Dec. 2012 is the official beginning of the Age of Aquarius.
Not that I believe in it, but this age , after a transition period
(in which we are already in?)with war aso, 
is the age of peace,harmony ,easyness etc.
That´s what many astrologers predict.
If they are right, imo ,nothing to complain about. 
The X2a update will be a good beginning for that.

The thing about the Mayan calendar is total bunk. Not just in the obvious of-course-they-didn't-predict-the-end-of-world way. But also in that the calendar doesn't end this year. The counting system they used in the calendar can go on just as boundlessly as our modern number system, and actually includes symbols for extremely massive numbers, the largest one representing a number around 63 million.

Then, on Dec 11th (my birthday), I found out Rush had (finally) been inducted into the Rock&Roll Hall Of Fame. 
Surely, the world must be coming to an end...

Freddie,  as a guy who has worked on many, many of this type of documentaries,  let me tell you there is very little for you to worry about.

It kinda goes like this....A network exec does some market research into what might be interesting to a target audience.  Then hires a productions company to produce a show.  The production company hires a 25 year old kid just out of college who will work for little money to research, shoot and round up some "experts".  The kid "writes"  the show and the network exec makes sure everything is hyped up.  Many facts get turned into twisted interpretations to draw an audience.   Then they go hire a music composer (me)  to make everything sound mysterious, crazy and cool.

After all that they run out and sell advertisements...
 
 
Do the people who produced the show think the world might end?    Not a chance.

Well, considering that Nostradamus' predictions go out to the year 3797 ... I'd say we're pretty safe.

As with anything you need to do own research "read between the lines" regarding any facts to understand what might be true, just fiction or mythological. After all things said and considered, I'm still a very open minded about many things like ghost, UFO, angles, Nostradamu, Roswell and so on. And I think you should be fairly open for this kind of things, but still being reserved. 
 
Take like ghost or UFO's for an example. Many laughs if someone tells them they believe or have themself experience it. There are also over 1 000 000 witness, statements, documentary, movies, photos and stories from people that have experience these unexplained phenomyna, still many people don't believe in them? Consider then that we have a whole legal & criminal justice system that are based purley on witness statements, doesn't make any sense?
 
 
So todays fiction can might be the science tomorrow.
