Default Template Always Loads

Anyone else always have the Project "Sonar1"  - a default template project always open itself even when the setting for "Load Normal Template On Startup" is not checked? Also, "Allow Only One Open Project" is always checked on my system. With these two options, I am certain the default project should not be able to stay open as I am making no changes to it and directly opening a different project with the Quick Start. Could this be a bug?

No matter which of my projects I choose to open, this POS is always there.

I certainly hope I am just missing the obvious here. Ideas welcome.

    Look under project templates in the X1 producer dir.

    Normal.tpl no longer gets loaded but Normal.cwt does in project templates. Thats the default file you need loaded.

    Not sure I follow. I am wanting it NOT to load. I made the same two settings that I recall making in 8.5 to stop it from loading in all cases, but alas, still it loads. I am either missing something, or maybe its a bug.

    I just unchecked "Load Normal Template" to test, and the next time I launched nothing loaded, so it's working okay here.


    Thanks StepD for testing it out. Its odd. I have even tried checking and unchecking that setting again (always hitting the apply button) and it still seems like the checkbox is just ignored on my system.

    FWIW - I have the same problem (Normal template loads on startup even with 'Load Normal Template' unchecked). Installation of patches 1a & 1b did not fix the problem either.

    I had this problem a while back and called tech support. We tried many things with no success. Ultimately, the only true fix was a clean install.

    FWIW - I have the same problem (Normal template loads on startup even with 'Load Normal Template' unchecked). Installation of patches 1a & 1b did not fix the problem either.

    The answer was to also check "use per-project folders" also. Don't ask why. It works now though.
