Delay using Akai LPK25 and HS7XL

OK I'm real new at this.  I got an Akai LPK25 controller and want to get rid of the delay between when the note is played and I hear it in my computer.  what information can i supply to help you help me?

    Basic computer specs, lap top/PC, OS, etc.
    Are you using the built-in sound card?
    I've had some success using the WASAPI driver mode on my Vista laptop.
    Ultimately, a low latency sound card/interface designed for recording is the answer, especially working with soft synths in real time.
    It's not the keyboard or SHS7, but the sound card that causes the delay(latency).

    Problem solved.  Yes it was the internal sound card, got a Cakewalk UA-25 EX , followed the youtube video that Fog suggested in the above post and I am in business.  Thanks for all you help!
