Delete blank measures at start of project - how?

Delete blank measures at start of project - how?

I have several completely empty measures at the start of a project which I want to delete.
In Sonar 5, I would Ctl+A to select all, then drag across the blank measures to highlight them, then go to Edit - tick the Delete Hole box and then delete the measures - job done.
In X3, I Ctl+A, then drag across the blank measures, but when I go to Edit the Delete Special option is greyed out.
 
So how do I accomplish this?

    Puts some data in the measures to delete. Or leave the measures in the project and specify a time range when exporting.

    Or, select everything then process>slide and select -2 measures.

    OK thanks, that did it....but why they couldn't leave this as it was just seems nuts

    Be very careful if you choose to nudge or slide when you have tempo changes, meter/key changes etc.
    They will NOT slide with your data.
