Hey Glen! Charlie is correct. I also read in a post on this forum about the QuickTime player indeed having the index for all the videos. It's in the lower right hand corner of the player. Just click on it and you will see the whole listing of videos to choose from and you can then jump to whatever lesson you like. You can also click the next or forward button while a video is playing to go to the next video in the original sequence. The videos are priceless as are all the videos on the Cake TV page! Happy recording! :) Patrick

Hello there again guys, I read the posts on here after my original thread and I took your advice and downloaded the free Quicktime Player. The workshops play like a dream on there! There is an included index on the bottom right-hand corner and yes you can just select your desired video. I guess this just shows the limits of my once trusty Media Player! So, just scrap all that waffle of creating individual videos in Movie Maker and just get yourself Quicktime. Craig, my apologies for jumping the gun on your excellent work. I guess I should have just contacted these fine fellows first! Take it easy guys and thanks again! And I’ll be sure to use this forum more often. All the best, Glen. Ps: Yes I do feel just a little bit foolish!

Glen, No need to feel foolish at all! Some of us weren't even aware of this as well until someone posted it on the forum ( my apologies to whoever it was). In any case, I printed out your handy dandy 'cheat sheet' for easy referral ( whenever I might be using WMP) so all of your hard work did, in fact, pay off! Happy recording! Patrick

There's going to be more folks that get these videos and this thread may prove helpful to them as well. I originally stumbled over the WMP vs. Quicktime when I first got the videos.

Glenn, Sorry about the amount of time spent writing the index and fooling around with WMP. Cakewalk used to add text to the video descriptions that QuickTime was recommended to view the videos properly. Thanks for your efforts, however. Peace

And I’ll be sure to use this forum more often. All the best, Glen. Ps: Yes I do feel just a little bit foolish! Believe me, you are NOT the first to encounter this limitation. I can safely and definitively say I was the first person to experience the WMP "no chapters" issue when testing out the final video! I actually posted timings in a previous thread to help out others (but yours looks nicer ). I don't know if I've mentioned this before but I converted it to a format my Android can play (.3gp). It needed to be about 1.2GB to look decent, but I was surprised that it's actually possible to watch it on a phone. Thanks for all the kind words. You are indeed correct that a lot of time and effort went into creating them, but the response has been extremely gratifying and those two videos were well worth doing!!
