if you dont want to delete them but dont want to see them go to plug manager click on exclude plug ins.then chose there..otherwise youll need to delete them from the vst folder..and is this totaly nessesary?

its necessary when dealing with waves.  if you have ever seen how mono, mono/stereo and stereo duplicates  can bog down the manager youll know its annoying. yes, i could try exclude them but id rather have sonar acknowledge they have been removed from my system. i have rooted around in regedit but dont as much about that kind of stuff as  some folk on here.

i know all about waves..i have many..many plugins..ive made self menus where all my compressors, delays, reverbs are all in ther own files so its easy to get at..bog down??..if you orginaize it properly it wont be at all..you do what you feel is nessesary but im against deleting any cakewalk plug ins.i just dont think its a good idea..maybe its just me..but i got pleanty of cakeplugs i dont use..i just excluded them..and bog down?? a vst that isnt being used takes up no ram memory just cpu..and barely that..good luck.

tbh I can't remember how I did it but have you tried doing a search of your system? Also, is there a rescan or similar in sonar?
