Deleting references to "Ghost" plugins?

I have a project file that originally had two tracks playing two free VSTs I downloaded. I believe I deleted the tracks from the project and went on with other VSTs I had. Later, I deleted those VSTs from my system since I wasn't too impressed by them.

I've since built up this project with other plugins and other tracks but I get the Safe Mode warning every time I open the project that there are references to the two VSTs I used to have. What do I need to do to remove these references so I don't get that warning every time I open the project?

did you remove them from the synth rack or just the audio and midi tracks?

I didn't even know X2 still had a Synth Rack! I just drag-and-drop my plugins...It took me about 20 minutes until I finally found the Synth Rack...there they were, greyed out, so I deleted them. Thanks!
