Deleting sections of a project

I have been searching in vain for any info that might help me to chop a number of bars off the beginning of my project. Since this option was available on every workstation I owned I would expect it to be included in Sonar X2 Studio. I would be very grateful if someone could let me know if this procedure is possible and what action I need to take to achieve it.
Many thanks for taking the time to read this, any feedback would be much appreciated.

To @scook, thanks for searching for that - I sometimes forget where to go for this, as I do not do it very often at all.  I saved off the page for later retrieval when next my brain goes on vacation.

One of the things that motivates me to work on helping folks is that a GREAT many times folks have helped ME.

I feel therefore compelled to assist as I have been assisted, and the list is long for those who I have learned from here in this forum.  Even if I haven't posted something asking for help, a quick search of the forum nearly always results in my coming away a little bit smarter at doing things in Sonar.

We may be dysfunctional, but we ARE family :)

Might it be easier to do a simple drag edit? (I think that's what it's called.)

This method has the potential to screw a LOT of things up:

    Meter/Key changes
    Tempo changes
    Markers
    Automation envelopes

None of these will be moved if you just drag clips
