Demo from my new Guitar

I picked up two new Taylors today...a GS Mini for the Mrs. to learn on and a 6-string baritone. Please excuse my shoddy playing, but here is a demo using only the baritone guitar, plugged directly into the board with flat EQ. It has a nice bass end to it.

Thanks, Mark! I'm really loving this baritone. That little GS Mini is a nice sounding little axe too. Fits the Mrs. just right.

Interesting, I'm not familiar with a baritone guitar? It's just as well... I need another guitar like I need a 3rd ***hole... The 2nd one hurt bad enough :-( Sounds pretty, I absolutely love Taylor guitars. They don't hold a candle to my Goodall? But I played a Taylor for a while before I got the Goodall, and I really like those guitars :-) Would never give up my Taylor 12, congrats on the new additions! (Taylor 654 CE, one of the nicest guitars I've ever played...)

This sounds great Scotty, thats amazing for a direct sound.  I have a Taylor as well, I'm not so much into the direct sound, although it certainly isnt horrible.  Yours sounds fantastic

    Robby,
Glad you're liking the Goodall. They are real nice for sure. I guess Taylors are just easier for me to access.

    Mike,
Thanks for listening. I am not one for direct either, but when I plugged this thing in, I could not believe my ears.

    Mr. Larry,
Thanks for checking it out. You're right...I am being crowded out of my house. HELP!!!!

Hey Scott what are your initial thoughts on the GS Mini? My daughter wants one for her Sweet 16 coming up in a couple of months. I haven't had a chance to check it out yet, but the user reviews I've seen are great. It wouldn't be a travel guitar for her, but her main one.

Nice job on the recording! The Taylor expression system pickups are pretty good.

That is some sweet low end, Scotty. Though I shudder to think how it would fit into a full mix of instruments!

Hi Scott, nice lows from that guitar ! Playing isn't that shoddy either . That baritone would sound great in an open tuning. If I promised to be really careful l, can I borrow it sometime ?
Is that mini Gs a parlor guitar or is it smaller ?

he GS Mini has amazing sonic quality for its size...Just as good as the full size models. I'll post a sample of it later when I'm home, so watch for my post. Check it out here in the meantime: Taylor GS Mini

Thanks James. I think it would work fine in a full mix as long as it was allowed its own space.
