hard to watch.  Off Hero-in?  The audience liked it...guess that's all that matters.

Yeah, bit of a funeral dirge at some points.

I don't mind a bit of DM, but I was bored of this before they even took to the stage - the suspense was quite literally killing me......or put another way I almost lost the will to live !

I have seen them live many moons ago, but always found them to be easier to listen to than to watch for some reason. DG never seems to look totally at home on the stage to me.

That's a great assessment of DM.

I saw them a decade ago.  They were 'alright', but visually quite dull.  What would you expect from a band that mostly stands behind keyboards.  They weren't disappointing, but I had expected more from a band of that status.
I'm glad I saw them, but I wouldn't pay to see them a second time.

I haven't heard everything they have done, but I really liked the album "Exciter" back in the day. This track in particular was something a bit different to what you might expect from them..

A bit too serious and miserable for my liking. Ultravox weren't exactly a laugh a minute either but I always liked their songs a lot more than DM's.

I like it.  David's range isn't really wide I don't think.  These kinds of songs need some break-out wailing with passion.  That's kind of what's lacking.

People used to say the same thing about Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze ... it's just the wrong folks at the audience, if all you want is a good wank, and then leave! For many of these groups, that is not what the music is about, and I always think that some folks missed the boat, and forgot to close their eyes.

It is true, and Robert Fripp has advised it many times ... close your eyes and "live" the music .. not as in live/alive, but as in living.

    It's a totally different experience!

DM is not one of the groups I would spend time and effort seeing and watching, but it's like watching Kraftwerk ... what do you expect? It's all keyboards and none of them are the Keith Emerson's that you think excite you more!

Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!
