Desperate for Answer - Surround Automation Problem

Hey Gang,

Check it out-

notice the width section on the bottom left? It's blacked out and I can't figure out why! None of my "width" automation data is being properly read, it's defaulting to 0 width. This is causing some pretty big issues for me, and it could cause my eventual execution at the hands of the filmmakers who I am delaying. Help! Why would this happen and what can I do?

I should say, I'm really hesitant to make a new track and copy the data over, because I have 2 hours of content that needs to be frame accurate.

Thanks, any advice is much appreciated.

I think it might be because this track has been considered mono... which is funny, because non of the audio files on that track are in mono. If this IS the problem, is there any way to change a track to stereo status? I guess I can't manipulate the "width" surround output without the source track being in stereo...

    That's a good assumption (I don't know for sure).

Are the tracks in true stereo?

If this IS the problem, is there any way to change a track to stereo status?

Change the track interleave to stereo by opening that track's inspector (by hitting the 'I' key) and enabling the interleave button. You can also do it in the console view. The interleave button is to the left of the phase button, which is to the left of the automation read button.
