Did anyone else see?

Keni's thread about missing Seth and Brandon pop back up, and then disappear off the face of the earth?

Seth had popped back in to tell us what he's up to.

Spooky.

The mods moved it to the Techniques forum, for whatever reason. But yes, I am back with my new venture, DAWGURU.

Why is this thread been put in techniques, too?

No explanation, just moved here, as was Seth's.

Just received an explanation.  Apparently Keni's was flagged as spam.

    My bad.

That's interesting as it was sitting in the SONAR forum for months but didn't get moved until right after I replied a few minute ago.

Advertising for paid services without consent is against the TOS.  I guess I didn't see it that way, as it was you, Seth.

At least it was placed here, and not removed.

There are others who advert their goods and services all the time in this forum, some with links to their products sitting right in their signatures.

Personally, I would think that Cakewalk would love to have a professional trainer who uses and trains on their flagship product put it out on their forums that such services are available. If anything it means that through said services their existing users will become more intimate with and more knowledgeable of their products, thus ensuring continued patronage from them (and certainly new users along the way).

They must feel differently about it, though. Go figure.

I would argue, however, that if they are going to disallow the placement of goods and services in posts and signatures that they disallow it for everyone. But this isn't my forum. :)

In fairness though what you are offering is techniques / knowledge and they haven't deleted it, just moved it to a suitable place. That said, it did get moved very quickly - thought I was going mad when I replied and then the thread wasn't even there when I went back to the page. I guess you must have upset them somehow ;)

    Hi Seth,

Hope all is well. Yeah, I'm probably the biggest offender of the links thing and have mentioned the stuff I do a few times. I try to really keep it under control though. However, everything I do in the recording field...every service I offer, is done using Sonar. I use other things as well, but Sonar is the major factor in every aspect of my business. (ok wait, except forensic audio clean-ups) I even teach using Sonar 8.0, 8.5, X1 and X2. :) I've also shared a lot of stuff for the price of an internet connection on this forum in the name of Sonar while showing said examples using Sonar more times than not, so I'm thankful they've let guys like me slide a little. :) Good to see you back...best of luck with your new endeavors.
