So, what grade did you get on this test?

Based on the results so far. Inconclusive.

Got any sound examples we could hear of you playing them? I've been really curious about those.

Not me but a decent comparison (IMO) ->  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNX8plXQjGQ

Tanks! Those are very useful links. But I'd still love to hear what you've come up with.

Steve,

I'm not a drummer. I'm not sure I'd do them justice. I have the kit (and now these cymbals) for when someone is here who can play them. When that happens, I'll post some results.

PEOPLE!!!  There's a desparate cry for help subtly buried here!   Will SOMEONE (who can play drums) please visit Bapu right away!  You'll get a free t-shirt with "I Wish These Were Talent" going over the moob area.  Please.  Think of the children!  (I have no idea what that really means, but all good pleas for help seem to end with it.)

Wish I could get down there Bapu but a little tied up here in Paso.  Maybe someday and it would be a great day for me at that!

I'd love to drop in. But I forget where you are. Just tell me how many miles away you are from Salt Lake City, and I'll travel the circle until I find you.

Hmmmm. interesting stuff. I liked the first link you put up there Bapu. To me it looked like there was an issue of playability there too. As in, the drummer would hit them like cymbals and they would play very nice, like what you say about them as well, but with the Roland plastic stuff it's a bit like hiting a frisbee so that's how he played it... or something like that. But I agree with what others have said here, they didn't sound too convincing to me. Not even when Gorden Campbell played them. Kind of over processed and weird.

However, this is interesting technology no doubt! And I'm curious to see how they update the system, both in terms of sounds and MIDI in the future. Thanks for sharing and I hope you'll be very happy with them. And perhaps they will make you practice so you can play for everyone here at the CH
