Difficult to Believe that this Bug Goes Unaddressed
I had to roll back to the Platinum version released last April or so because of new bugs in the copy-paste operations. This bug has been verified by other users and I've submitted a bug report. Sonar behaves erratically when attempting to paste material into other tracks. This dysfunctionality occurs in staff view, the event list, and probably other views in which the copying and pasting operations are used.
It would also be nice if it were possible to copy material from a single track to multiple tracks. Digital Performer can do this. As it is now, Sonar allows multiple copies (extending the selection) from one track to another, but not pasting to multiple tracks from one track's worth of material.
Instead of adding more and more features, wouldn't it be great if Cakewalk spent all of their time on the next release ONLY fixing bugs? The snap functions in staff view have also been broken for nearly a year. The copy-paste operations are essential to all MIDI editing, regardless of which view is used. I would think this would be urgently important to repair.

I think October was just or mostly bug fixes just not the ones you or I may have been concerned about.
Maybe that will happen again in the coming months.
