DimPro Female Vox Manipulation?
Any ideas and/or advice on seemless blending of melody(s) in piano roll view? e.g. to make "Ahhhhhhhhhhh" a continuous pitch change instead of: "Ah" "Ah" "Ah" "Ah" "Ah" "Ah". Thanks in advance. Philip

Err... Hire a real one Or it may end in very complicated sampling job

(Thanks for chiming in Grin, you're from Moscow; I had hoped to visit St Petersburg to see the Hermitage Museum but lacked Visa credentials.) Actually, the DimPro female Vox is excellent for a couple of my scores (IMHO), even better than human for my "Ah-Ah-Ah"s albeit not my "Ahhhhhs" ... even as a lead vocal. But now I'm using 'er to add a little fatness to mix with other vox "Ahhhh"s. Any other suggestions?

Or, damn it - didn't get your question from the beginning. You can make an audio file out of the "Ah" you like then use a v-vocal to make a continuous pitch change.

Sounds like a job for DropZone. Bring the sample into DZ and use pitch bend (?).

Grin, Cyrophonik, These are excellent words of advice (V-Vocal and Dropzone); I'll try to remember to let you know if these are not feasible.

You'll have to play in a long continuous note, and then experiment with pitchbend to make smooth pitch changes. I don't think that DimPro has portamento, but I could be wrong. There might be an opcode you can specify in the .sfz file to switch on portamento - but again I could be wrong

Thanks Auricle; Controlled Pitch-bends (portamento, glissando, etc.) seem to be my goal here ... as you observed. I'm using the Vox both as a Lead (in one score) and as melodious support and harmony vox elsewhere. I should read more DimPro, too, I'm afraid, as DimPro has many dimensions of learning. Again, thank you for your excellent thoughts ... *.sfz files are still a bit advanced for me to meddle with (though I'd like to learn)

OK FYI, tried DropZone and V-vocal for making pitch-blends (portamento, glissando, etc.) but failed (may be the learning curve); Workarounds: 1) Minor gaps (piano-roll) between notes 2) Mild reverb 3) Varying dynamics (P.S. (off topic): 'Love the piano in DropZone ... if only one could use it for MIDI inputs with the mouse)

Well I studied that for an hour or so and learned some DimPro tricks, but still could not master portamento tricks with these sources. Then, after intensely staring at the modulator ( Amp light lit) I was able to adjust attack and release volumes with the graph hooks to get amplitude blending ... finally Thats a start, methinks, to blending notes with overlaps and such. Thanks all for the excellent help. This problem seems resolved OK.
