Dimension LE hosting software
I recently took advantage of the reduced price of Dimension LE . But... I was stupid enough to think it was standalone... Could anybody help me find a (preferably cheap) sequencer enabling me to use Dimension LE as a plug-in (i.e. more precisely a virtual synth) ? In other words, how can I use Dimension LE, how can I make it work ?

There are free to almost-free DAWs out there. Check KRV.com. There are also music mags that have "freebies" in them on CD for $15 or so. Check your local store. I got into Cakewalk from a disk in Future Music I think. A limited version of Plasma was included (which tells you how long ago that was).

Already three answers ! Thanks to you . I'm going to study and use your tips on cheap or free sequencers .
I forgot to mention I already have got Cakewalk Home Studio 9 . I suppose it's too old-fashioned - technically speaking - to be able to host Dimension LE. Or ... would somebody know how to ?
I also use different sequencers like Magic Score School and Finale Note Pad, but I suppose they wouldn't be able to host Dimension LE ...

Is it vsti or dxi. Cake HS should be able to handle dxi. Did you try? And there is a dxi to vst software adaptor. Cake used to sell it but it might be free on this site. Check.

Thanks, AT. As far as I know, I chose "full install" and have a separate 'VST plug-ins' folder with a 'Dimension LE.dll' inside . This folder is within the 'Cakewalk' folder where the 'Dimension LE' folder also is .
There is a 'Dimension LE.dll' within that 'Dimension LE' folder . As it is not wthe one within the 'VST plug-ins' folder, it might very well be the dxi version .
Yet, how can I load or trigger Dimension LE from inside Cakewalk Home Studio 9, if this possible ?
Any tip welcome !

Sorry Chad but the link - once the Tobybear and then the Minihost page are accessed -to Minihost download seems to be a dead one . Any idea of an alternative link, or repository ?

Very cool...I was going to recommend Music Creator 5 box version by Cake. It comes with a number of additional synths...drums, and Sound center, as well as a guitar sim plug..... and for the $40 in store price..... worth every dime.
Dim loads up easily in MC5.

Dimension LE should work with Guitar Track Pro 4 right?
