Dimension Pro 1.2 X64 ....How???

Anyone have any luck getting Dimension Pro 1.2 x64 configured correctly in SONAR 8.5.3 x64 in Windows 7???

The regualar Dimension Pro 1.2 opens fine using Bitbridge, but I wanted to see if I could use the x64 version (which by the way, I only found by searching the Cakewalk Support pages).

I followed the directions posted on Cakewalks's Knowledge Support pages here:

1.)  Dimension Pro x64 not installed with SONAR 8 Producer Edition: http://www.cakewalk.com/support/kb/reader.aspx?ID=20080921

2.)  Dimension Pro x64 - "Failed to insert soft synth. The synth may not be properly installed": http://www.cakewalk.com/support/kb/reader.aspx?ID=20081008

Unfortunately, after doing all of this and even after turning off User Account Control (UAC) and running SONAR as an administrator I'm still having no luck.

I can go the Dimension Pro VSTPlugin Folder and find the installed "Dimension Pro x64.dll" file, but unfortunately I can not direct the plugin manager to use the file.  This even after re-scanning the plugins and following the direction on the Cakewalk Support page:
  1. From the Tools menu select Cakewalk Plug-in Manager
  2. Under the heading 'Plug-in Categories' on the left click on DirectX Instruments (DXi) and/or VST Instruments (VSTi)
  3. Under the 'Registered Plug-ins' section in the center locate and click on Dimension Pro so that it is highlighted
  4. On the bottom of the Plug-in Manager locate the 'Filename:' field
  5. The name of the file being used should be 'Dimension Pro64.dll'

When I get to this 5th step, the plugin manager will not allow me to change the path to my "Dimension Pro64.dll".  It will not allow me to alter anything at all.

So I must be missing something??  If anyone has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated. :)

Thanks in advance!

I use the 64 bit DXi version, this works fine on my setup. There are known issues with the 64bit VSTi

i gave up on trying to get the dxi of Dimension Pro x64 to work; it was a constant crasher (as was Rapture x64).  now i use 32 bit versions of both of these synths via Bitbridge.  it's been almost 8 months since tech support told me that they couldn't figure out the problem (after a month-long back and forth), so . . . isn't it about time that Cakewalk makes some announcement that they will be releasing updates to these synths??? i mean, really.  z3ta+ x64 works well!

3.5 Ghz AMD 6-Core/16 gigs RAM, Roland Quad-Capture, Win 10, Cakewalk by Bandlab, Komplete 10, z3ta+, Z3TA+ 2, Rapture, Maschine 2.7 (MKI & Jam), Melodyne 4 Studio, Ozone 4, Jam Origin MIDI Guitar 2, Schecter Damien Elite, Fender Sonoran w/TronicalTune Plus installed, etc

How do you set up Sonar to use either the dxi or 32bit via Bitbridge of a particular plug in?  I have occasional crashes of Dimension and Rapture, and I'm not doing anything intricate, just playing back a midi file.  Yeah, it would be great if Cakewalk would at least acknowledge that there are problems, and how to work around this problem.
