Dimension Pro Install Takes Forever

Be prepared....it may seem like your Dimension Pro installation has frozen up but indeed it has not....it just take forever for it to extract all the sample files from the DVD.

Thanks for the tip - I've done the install twice so I guess I've reached forever squared - it is bliss here I assure you.

I'm letting it install Dimension Pro into its own directory. I'm not taking any chances here since it takes soooooo long to install....serioulsy, I've been installing for about an hour now. I'm not sure why it is taking so long. It's processing the audio files once they are on the designated drive, this is the part that takes so long. Maybe this is necessary for Demension Pro's sound engine, who knows. I've been told it's well worth the wait though.

Yeah, tell how much you like (or dislike) it. I'm thinking about getting it myself.

Last time I had this problem installing software (not Sonar or Dimension) I only had to disable antivirus software.

Dimension Pro is rather great to use. I, being a Project 5 user, was pleased by Dimension that came with Project 5v2. I never used TTS1 that came with Sonar 4 or 5 because I was using Dimension that came with Project 5 and Vsampler 3.0 instead, so when Dimension Pro came out with the upgrade offer of $99, I quickly purchased it because of the huge 1500 sound program file at 8GBs.

It does take some time to install because its 8 GB of sound being placed on your PC, so hit install, and come back later.

    Peace

Hi,  I am trying to install Dimension Pro 1.5 through the Command Center.
It extracts until Garriton Pocket Orchestra, then that screen disappears and I get Installing D-Pro at the bottom of the Command Center, with the orange bar moving across the screen.  I have let it run for a couple of hours and figured it should have installed by then.  How long should I wait?  Maybe depends on my internet speed?
I eventually stop it and when I launch the D-Pro soft synth inside Sonar it says D-Pro 1
I am running Sonar Platinum on Windows 10
    Thanks for any suggestions...
