Dimension Pro On MAC

Hi. Is it possible to install Dimension PRO on MAC (Snow)? There is no MAC Installer on Sonar DVD install disc, but I read that Dimension Pro is compatible with AU format. I'm a beginer in MAC so, maybe I missed something.

If you buy it standalone, you can get the Mac version, but the Sonar install disc only includes the Windows version.

    Actually, you can install it.

You need to download the Mac update from the dimension pro update site on cakewalk.com. I think the mac specific update is 1.4 or 1.5.. Not sure which one exactly. That installer will accept the key that came with your Sonar 8 disk, so you'll be able to install.

However, it won't recognise your DVD because its not a standalone DVD. This is not a problem though. Go through the installer, and let it fail (When it fails to find the DVD), just to let it create the directories for you. Then, install again, but this time tell it not to install the multisamples (Since these are what it couldn't find). It will install successfully, but it won't have any samples.

Next, look on your DVD, you'll see all the multisamples inside 7zip files on your DVD. If you extract these to /Library/Audio/plug-ins/Dimension Pro Content/Multisamples your synth will work correctly. Well, at least it worked for me :)
