Dimension Pro / Rapture Question

I've got NI Komplete 8 and I think most would agree, those virtual instruments are top notch. I've never really messed with Rapture or Dimension Pro much, but I want to. I pretty much do everything at 48KHz, but every time I open Rapture, or Dimension Pro (stand-alone versions, of course), they reset my audio interface sample rate to 44.1KHz. It's a Focusrite Saffire PRO24 DSP by the way, with version 3.0 of the Saffire MixControl.

With the NI Komplete instruments, each of them has a "Audio and MIDI settings" menu option where you can specify the sample rate at startup. Is there not the same kind of thing with Dimension Pro and Rapture? "Selecting ASIO Control Panel..." does launch the Saffire MixControl Panel, but the Firewire driver is already locked at 44.1KHz and you can't change it...until you close Dimension Pro. Then opening again sets it right back to 44.1.

What am I not understanding?

Thanks

JTW

Here is what you can do from the QWERTY keyboard with the Dimension Pro / Rapture microhost in focus.  The sample rate commands are highlighted in bold.  The Microhosts detect the supported sample rates of the audio driver upon launch, and reset the sample rate to an available one when it detects an unsupported rate.

ESC: All Notes Off
F1/F2: Open/Close z3ta+ Editor (mainly for testing purposes)
F3: Set to 44100
F4: Set to 48000
Shift+F3: Set to 88200
Shift+F4: Set to 96000

F5: Transpose -12
F6: Transpose -1
F7: Transpose +1
F8: Transpose +12
F11/F12: Previous/Next Program
Left/Right arrows: Bend down/up
Up arrow: CC1
Down arrow: CC2
Space bar: Aftertouch

You are not understanding that the synths that Rene originally coded sound way better than the offerings in Komplete 8...

EG : Take ALL of the effects off Massive and you will hear a very limp soft synth...

Then check out the aliasing... Wow

Then you will come back to Rapture,Dimension Pro and Z3TA+2 and realise just how good they are

The only synths I really use in Komplete are Kontakt  and FM8....

Sorry - I don't use Autotune :)

I just dug this thread up - was having the exact same PITA moment with Dim Pro resetting my audio interface sample rate to 44.1 every time I opened it.

I used the F4 key, as noted above, to permanently alter the registry settings for Dim Pro to use a sample rate of 48k.

Thanks!

I can see a lot of headscratching being generated by inadvertently hitting one of these keys !

A quick search of the DimPro manual found no reference to these bindings.

So thanks, Bob, and others, for pointing this out.
