Dimension Pro install?

Hey guys,

I purchased Sonar 8.5 PE which came with a full version of Dimension Pro. I have since moved on to Mac for various reasons but have read that Dimension Pro was both a VST and AU plug-in. I've been able to get an installer that will work for a Mac. The only issue I have are the samples. The installer is asking for disk 1 but my Sonar discs are not numbered that way and do not seem to be working.

I've contacted Cakewalk's tech support but they told me I have to buy a new version. Since Dimension 1 was set up as an AU (according to what I've read) I find that to be ridiculous. I'm just wanting to use what I've already purchased. Can anyone help explain how to install the samples?

    DimPor came w/ SONAR - a PC DAW.  If you buy DimPro the synth you get AU.  If you really want it, you can probably get a good discount on it if you wait, and then use it on the Mac.

    If you want the samples you just need to grab them off your PC hard disk, tho it is about 8 gigs of material.  I don't think a PC install will uncompress on a Mac (but I know nothing about them, so I could be wrong).  Once you do grab the samples (and SFZ files), you could use another SFZ synth to load them.  Alchemy does, but few others, I think.

    As it came free with Sonar, I too assumed it could not be installed on a Mac

    You need to buy the full stand-alone version, which includes both PC and Mac installations, and the ability to run it as a stand-alone...
    it is fairly cheap at the moment from the CW Store.
