I imagine X2 could use X1's Dim Pro (by pointing to X1's dll location) but that seems like it would violate the "separateness" of the installs.

    Just a a guess.

My guess was wrong. You can skip the Dim Pro Install.

If you already had Dimension Pro 1.5 installed you would not have to install it again. The files are there just as if you were a first time user. On the other hand if you had an older install of Dimension then you could run the new files to upgrade to the latest version which is 1.5.

I think the default install location for Dim Pro is the Cakewalk folder. I have 8.5 and X1 folders below that, so there's no "separateness" problem. When I install X2, all 3 programs will access the same Dim Pro (at least I hope that's what happens)

May I ask? What if I uninstall X1? Will that uninstall X1's Dim Pro as well?

No X1, DimPro and the DimPro expansion packs are all separate install/uninstall processes
