Dimension Pro sfz error

Hi all
I;ve just re-installed Dimension Pro, and it works fine until I install the 1.2 update, then if I try to open an original Dimension program from Dim interface I get a notepad pop up titled sfzlog, with errors like. Unknown Opcode (fx): Internal.
End of log for e:\
But the original programs still load despite this error code.

Also if I instal the expansion packs I get the following error.
Error uncompressing program - program load failed.

No such problem in Project5 V2, All these problems in Sonar 6 PE.

Windows XP Pro Sp2, 1Gig, 3.8 AMD

Check this thread for a possible solution. It sounds like multiple .dlls again, and only one of them (possibly none) is getting updated to 1.2. Look for only one VSTi version (if appropriate), and only one DXi [search for Dimension Pro.dll].

    Hi b rock
Thanks for your quick reply, I checked the link and it all seems familiar, Dimension Pro is also working as DXI not as vsti. no extra .dlls found but the Dimension Pro.dll for DXI is version 1.2.0.214 whilst the VSTI .dll is version 1.1.0.79. clearly not updating, any idea how I update it.

    many thanks Roy

The right way to do it is to uninstall everything, and make sure that the new install is pointed to the correct VST Plugin folder. Dimension Pro creates its own subfolder, so sometimes that's where the problem lies. In any case, you have to re-run the external VST Adapter in some apps, let Sonar6 run its internal adapter, or follow any other non-Cakewalk app's specific procedures.

Er, but I've been known to just make a copy of the newer .dll and drop it over the old one to overwrite it. No warrantees ...

    Hi b rock
Pasted the .dll as you hinted, work fine.

Thanks very much for your help.

Cakewalk - I'm not one to tell you how to do business - but I would definitely write a subroutine in the P5 2.5 install to fix this...

    My site i guess;)

Something like this would be ideal.

I'm not knocking anyone that's had problems with the installation; it's happened to me on several occasions. But I'm beginning to conclude that the problem is often BKAM, not within the installer itself. It gives you the choice on where to place the VSTi (which we all want), and that in itself includes an element of risk. I'm dropping a link in here to remind myself of where I put it:
