Hi. Did you use CCC to install SONAR? And if you did, do you see D-Pro there (in my case at the bottom)? Have you tried to do a vst scan? Maybe even try to reset and rescan, with rescan existing and failed plugins checked?
    All the best.

Hi, yes I did use CCC to install and I can see it listed in the CCC window but cant find it listed in the actual program. I have tried to scan but it says '92 plug ins found - no errors'

I never change the defaults, also I have just tried to re-install (via CCC) but  it won't actually  finish the process. After all the install info and verification etc, the text dropped out and I have just been watching the little orange block travelling along its path for about half an hour.  That can't be right - can it?

Hi.  Make sure that there are no hidden windows behind the current screen.  Some installers wait for a response from you before they can finish the job.

Win 10 Pro x64, 32Gb DDR3 ram, Sonar Platinum, Cubase 9.5, Mackie MCU Pro, Cakewalk VS 100, Roland Octa-Capture,  A 800 Pro, Carver M-1.5t amp & C4000 pre amp, various mics, drums and brass instruments.

    fixed it -  yea!!!!!

even though it didn't ever finish installing, I just closed CCC in the end ( whilst it was apparently still installing) but on reopening Platinum it had no appeared in the VSTs

    lets hope it works

I was also going to suggest to make sure you are running your CCC as administrator as well as other installations.
you will avoid countless headaches in the long run by making sure/ verifying you are running installs as:
    right click/run as administrator.

it doesn't matter if you are the administrator, bla bla bla.
its a windows feature that started in windows 7, a safety net if you will.
    Microsoft holding your hand.
any who, glad you got it sorted out.
