Dimension Pro, where did it go?

Am running Sonar 7 producer 64. Installed Dimension Pro, it went just fine. But Sonar 7 doesn't see it. Funny, it did before I migrated to the 64 bit version. Worked with my Sonar 4 too.
I call up Insert|Soft synths, and its not there. I try to include it in the track pane ( the little area where effects are added) and its not there.
I remember somewhere that you can call up some configuration dialog to tell Sonar where to find it, anyone know how? Ideas?, I'm really frustrated.

AFAIK, only the DXi version is x64 capable. Did you install this version?

I took defaults when installing. Thanks Torhan, will go thru the 20 minute install again.

Dammit! If it is DXi-only, that means I won't be able to wrap it for use with my new Novation keyboard. Novation wraps all the VST DLLs, but if Dimension is not VST on x64, that's one less reason to switch over to my Vista64 partition. Too bad, since my Vista64 experience has been pretty good so far.

Come again, Del? You can't play a DXi with your keyboard controller? What's up with that? Do you mean playing it outside of a DAW host?

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

    Hey Del..

your Novation uses universal automap? like my nocturn.. you get the "A" logo in the system tray next to time? right click on that and you can set up the midi out on it.. to mimic the midi.. and then just do a midi learn in DP...and you should be good to go..

Bit, the automap thing is specific for vst's , I think it checks the DLL's and knows... but it also makes an "auto map" DLL , which is the synth + their extra stuff... well , you can get around it by using the midi function on it..

I would have liked novation to sort out the thing for DX plugins though.. although they are in the minority these days.

Dave... yes, I can control DXi instruments in Sonar 32 bit. Still figuring out 64 bit limitations, though. As Fog mentions, it sounds like it will work with DXi's on 64 bit with some tweaking.

    Fog... yes, it's Novation's Universal Automap 2.0.

I just read the original post while at work, and I haven't tried this Dimension Pro DXi / Novation / Sonar 64 bit / Vista 64 combo yet. Just installed this config recently. Like you say, in order for Novation's Automap Universal to work you need to wrap the VST with the Novation wrapper. If it works as you say, it sounds like it will still be a serviceable controller--perhaps with reduced functionality in the non-wrapped DXi. Still learning the Novation and Automap way of doing things. I really like the Novation keyboard & controller feel, but I hope I can get everything to play together nicely.

Del , I didn't even bother with the manual.. this is a great resource for me, maybe they do the same for your keyboard? >
