Dimension vs. Dimension Pro

Hi all,

I went back to an old project I had created in Dimension (amateur) and now I have Dimension Pro. When I reinstalled P5 I had not installed Dimension and its content, because I already had DimPro installed.

So when the project opens up, it says "cannot find Dimension".. and I had made this custom instrument that is gonna be a PITA to reproduce again. Is there any way to fool it into just choosing Dimension Pro and loading up the instrument? (of course I should have saved the config.. but I just didnt think.)

    Arg.. another project. Ahh, I bet its because I only loaded the VST version of Dimension Pro. Is there an easy way to get the DXi version installed short of reloading all 8 gigs etc?

    Get the 1.2 update (if you dont have it already, and if you dont, then why not). Install that and it gives you an option to install the DX, RTAS and the VST plug ins again without having to worry about the multisamples.

    Hmm . . . I just ordered DimPro after using 'regular' Dim in P5. When it arrives, should I uninstall Dimension before installing DimPro? Should I just install Pro without uninstalling Dim 1?

    Uninstall used to be the prefered method. There were some old, official posts on this. I suppose it still holds.
