Dimension/P5 Multitibral Question

hi everyone. i am new to project 5 and have a question that i hope has an easy answer. i have noticed that each instance of dimension i open uses a lot of cpu usage, and i'm not happy about that. what i am trying to do is open one instance of dimension, add layers and assign a different instrument voice to each of those layers in hopes of saving cpu. the problem is, every time i try and do this, i can get polyphony, but only 'voice' will play. is there a way to open just one instance of dimension and have it play multipule voices? am i making sense?

    At top under options/multi mode ;)+) Or set program as multitimbral. midi channels 1-4
