Display changes jerkier in SPlat than X2? (Sort of solved).

With the same project open in SPlat and X2 to Track view with about 8 tracks of waveform showing, if the project window is not maximized and I reposition it within Sonar, this is smooth in X2 and jerky in SPlat. The same effect is noticeable drag-zooming in the timeline. Turning off waveform display fixes it.

Can anyone else verify this?
Has something changed between X2 and SPlat that has changed the graphics performance?
Is there a way to get X2 smoothness in SPlat?

Cheers, Peter.

Smooth as a babies bottom here.

I had an issue early on which I traced back to a windows setting.

Windows Ease of access settings......Mouse hover activates program window... Not the exact wording but it varies between win 7 or 8 I think. Once I disabled that and it other setting found directly beneath it I was good to go.

Thanks Mike. I don't have that setting activated. Whatever is causing this is affecting SPlat but not X2. It's hard to imagine what could cause this, but if it was common it would have appeared in this forum and been fixed by now.

I wonder if SPlat needs some general package for display purposes that X2 doesn't - like Microsoft Silverlight (which I haven't installed)?

Sort of solved. There are a lot (hundreds) of tempo changes in the project which seems to cause the display to be jerky. Rebuilding the waveforms fixes it until the project is re-opened. Deleting the tempo changes fixes the problem permanently. I'll try and put together a simple and reproducible example and submit a bug report.

    Cheers, Peter.

p.s. The tempo changes were from trying to fit the midi grid to guitar recorded without using a click.
