Display of bit depth in Control Bar - SOLVED

I switched my "new project" setup so that all new projects will open using 24 bit at 41.1khz.  However, the audio section in the Control bar still shows
41.1  16.  I can open my ASIO control panel and see that it is set to 24 bit.  When does the Control bar setting change?  I recorded a quick vocal and it continues to read 41.1 16.  Any ideas?

Thanks.

    OK, I found it:
The setting is in Preferences->File->Audio Data. Set the record bit depth to 24 there
