Do i need to have x1 installed

iM SURE THIS HAS BEEN ANSWERED.................Do i need x1 installed to install x2 upgrade? I am thinking of reformatting for a clean install

    no, X2 does not rely on X1 in any way. If you want the bits of X1 that are not included in X2 (Beatscape and Guitar Rig LE in X1 Producer for example), you can add them later by performing a custom install of X1.

    thank you for such a quick answer...................that is good, as I prefer a "cleaner' set up.....yes ill add in some extras from x1...thank you
