Audio connectors were a way of directly linking analog output of a CD reader to a sound card through the electrically noisy innards of a computer. Virtually all of the optical drives now rip the digital data off the disc and send it to a software player running under the operating system and deliver it digitally to your sound card or other computer audio out. No need for "audio" connectors anymore.
