Do only the "elderly" watch the news?

I mean really... If I bought what they advertise I would ride around the house in my Scooter Chair, with my Brooklyn Lantern, counting my gold... I wish.

As of yesterday, I watch the news as infrequently as possible......I just learned that apparently my brain doesn't function in certain altitudes.

You just haven't been there long enough. When I lived in Colorado Springs, I got a friend to come out there... from GA. The first day was OK, the next day we went out and started down the driveway... it was a decent grade down toward the street... all of a sudden he began to walk faster and then really fast, then went headlong into the concrete. Then a couple of days later his lips got all cracked because of the dry air. The altitude can affect you but I was already high, so I didn't notice.

When I was a teen I hiked up in the Tetons to some little lake above the treeline. Then I decided to climb up the steep slope behind the lake, up to the ridge. It was so high and so steep, I had to sit and climb it backwards, sitting down. Icould take three steps and wouldbe out of breath... but when I go to the top it was truly breathless. On the other side of the "ridge" it dropped straight down, looked like at least 1,000 ft. I still have some water from that little lake in a bottle... maybe one day I will get backup there when I get my Scooter Chair!

There is no news anymore.  There is only sensational stories that don't mirror reality and advertising (a.k.a., brain washing).

Reality is over rated... (I think Bubba will agree)

besides, they can't say it on TV if it isn't true, roight?

I don't want to tip toe too close to the edge of the TOS. I was just talking about the advertising... and of course, as we know.. the advertising is all true, and Rachael from cardservices too!

Why would young people watch the news? When I was 20, I already knew everything.
At 30, I had become aware that maybe there were a few facts here and there that I didn't know. By 40, I was finding out new stuff every day. At age 50, the depths of my ignorance had become painfully obvious. Now, at 61, I am well aware that I don't know sh*t about anything.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

gush, scary to think what we'll be aware at 70. I can only imagine at 100 we'll start all over...

Got rid of my TV 10 years ago, never looked back since. Sometimes in the gym I will attempt to view a little bit of TV but I can only manage about 5 minutes before all of the junk trailers and ads start to melt my mind. It really freaks me out how many families plan their evenings around these infernal boxes.
