Do you ever have days when you are just pi55ed off for no good reason?
I am like that today. My fuse is just really short for no good reason. I am on the verge of trying to fix any problem that arises with a hammer. I sometimes get this way if I take a nap.. but this is just one of those days. I am really having to think ahead so I don't just "go off" on some inantimate object. I have a lose connection in the washing machine. F-11 error. The board is not communicating with the motor correctly. I have figured out that there is a box under the lid that usually just needs to be slapped after putting the washer on pause... today I broke on of the plastic clips off the stupid plastic box... and I was trying to restrain myself. I need to take the box out and properly fix it before I damage it beyond repair. I'll never get another frontloading He machine... they really SUQ and you cannot soak anything in them... DANG, I let my feminine side slip out there didnt I. CRAP... now the dog is barking because she cannt get up... I will go get her up and don't worry, I will be kind to her. BTW, Blaze (the dog) is weak today because she is so freaking picky. She will only eat certain things. Fried chicken being one BUT... not FC from Publix, only from Ingles. Ingles fried chicken is a LOT better than Publix FC... but dang it.. I ate it. I had a leftover roast beef and pastrami with provolone sandwich from yesterday... she just ate that. I guess I wil make her another one in a bit. This is getting old... heck, everything is getting old. I don't understand days like this, pissed off for no good reason... makes no sense. Really... I will be OK. J

Days like that, 3 things get me through. Guitar. Just sit down, breathe and play for a few. The second, a good meal. Just get some good food by yourself and relax with a good drink. I'll leave the third one be...

@ Chuck. I will check it out. I have been thinking the same thing sort of, that I need to get it worked out before my wife gets home, has a glass or two of wine, and wants to tell me everything about everything that happened today. I'm sure you know what I mean... @ Obi... yeah... it might have something to do with food, I know I eat neither right or regular and I am certain it would make a difference. I decided on .25mg xanax instead of a drink.. you never know, a drink might make it better or might make it worse, laff. #3 helps too. I just put the guitar down. I worked out a guitar (for piano) backing for Tiny Dancer by Elton John. It has been running through my head over and over lately that I want to do a cover of it and this morning I woke up with it in my head and in a dream... so I guess I am going to give it a try. I need to break out the "Madman Across The Water" LP and listen once I get it figured out the way I remember it and the way I want to do it... Good advice. Thanks! J

I have days like that too. Something will trigger me in the morning (usually some awkward client waking me super early with a phone call whining about some trivial BS or laying some mega problem on me) and it's all downhill from there. Next thing you know I'm on the street yelling at a taxi driver for not yielding, or getting snarky with a Starbucks employee for not understanding my accent. And then later when I get home I hate myself for having been such an a-hole and toy with the idea of taking up pot smoking again....

Hi, I just call it a night ... turn off the computers, get the earphones, go to the CD player or turntable ... and blast away for an hour ... when you gotta have it ... you GOTTA HAVE IT, adn sometimes inspiration is like that ... and no _____ is gonna help ... it's about you, not anything else. Being that I'm single and 62, and never married, I have had a few of these, but these days, I don't care anymore ... since I found out that the majority of downers and bummers had to do with expectations ... and I decided that those be damned to hell and gone and it's made my life a lot better and easier to deal with ... and less emotional ... I don't get all fess'd up when I get another letter saying that they will not be able to support or allow a grant for me to make another film ... it's ok ... if it happens it does, and if does not happen, it does not happen, and this way, if someone at the Coffee House doesn't like it, and thinks I'm an idiot, it doesn't matter to me ... I'm a Charter Member of the "How Sweet to be an Idiot" club and I love it ... and sometimes I think that more folks in the Coffee House need some Randy Racquel's so they ..... Who cares!? Now I'm gonna put a list of music to listen to! ... I'm starting with Ryuichi Sakamoto's "Heartbeat" from his album "Heartbeat" ... end of story

Never no reason. Although today, I was making a batch of cookies, and had the dough on the pan, and just as I was about to slip them in the oven, I dropped the pan. I could've destroyed every living thing within 15ft of me (srry, mom), and then burned my house down at that moment.

J, I'm probably late to the party but I just had to chime in here because...well, I this is something that never happens to me. Can you believe that? As physical as I can be, I NEVER wake up in a bad mood or get bent for no reason. There may be something small that sets me off, but there's always a legit reason. I think I'm never mad for no reason because I remove negativity and animosity on a daily basis. The things in my world that bother me, are instantly eliminated. People, places, things, habits, anything that makes me upset is just removed. And once I turn and walk, there's no going back. I think (not speaking for you) that people get this way when they have lots of things in their lives that are always negative. Just about all of my friends are not happily married. So you know they act like someone poo'd in their Cheerios on a daily basis. Some are not happy with their jobs yet they are forced to stay there because let's face it...in this economy, if you have a job you're lucky. So maybe you may need to take a good look at yourself, your life, your surroundings etc? Maybe there are things that are buried deep inside of you that are making you angry and quite possibly, it's time to eliminate or at least alter some of those things if they exist. I mean granted, I admit to being a hot head but only when people force me to be. I actually have a pretty high tolerance before I get angry...but people today just have this way of not caring for anyone but themselves or enjoy getting over on others as a way of life. I've never seen so many inconsiderate, self-centered and evil human beings in my life. NJ is famous for people of that nature so it's quite likely to be my area that I live in that brings on my hostility. Then again, I got a chance to talk to Chef Mike on the phone and man...what a guy. Like a long lost brother...so not everyone in this freakin' state is evil. There's nothing I can do in my situation other than to do my best to walk away when faced with a confrontation. But, that's just me. I'll probably die by the sword someday...and you know what? Though that would suck for me and those I would leave behind, I'm cool with that if it's my destiny. But to me, that's a totally different problem and I'd not call it "mad for no reason" in my situation. If little things are making you want to just explode...take a look at what those little things may be masking. You got little things (or maybe big things and your issues are reversed where mad for no reason is you venting so you don't totally lose it) that are all adding up, frustrating you, making you edgy, then the littlest thing or nothing at all just makes you want to rip something apart. There has to be something bigger behind your feelings bro. You seem like too nice of a guy to just be mad for no reason. Something is contributing to it. It may be a good idea to try and find out what that thing(s) is if indeed something exists. At any rate, I wish you lived closer....you could just come hang out with me and do some jamming or something. :) I hope you get yourself in a better place bro. It sounds like you are and I'm just late to the party as usual. Good thoughts sent your way. :) -Danny

I had seen her during the day a couple of times walking around the dgpen (it is a large pen, big as some yards). She was in her house when I got her up. I had bought her a couple of plain McDonalds double burgers but she wasn't even interested in a bite, didn't want any water. I walked her out of the backyard onto the drivewaybefore offering the food and water. I have a '94 Nissan P/U as a utility truck. It is one of those SE kingcab models and I had her a bed behind the seats. I picked her up to load her into the cab and stepped back and half on, half off the edge of the driveway slab, twisted and sprianed my right ankle and fell (I kept her from hitting the ground and luckily I wasn't hurt except for the ankle). I felt like I was in a movie... we were both laying there and I told her, "We're just a couple of old dogs huh?" I got her to the vet and she walked around in the grass outside while we waited. The called and she walked over to the door, stopped, I carried her in and laid her on the metal table. She just laid right down and didn't even try to get up... she was ready. I really think the timing was right. It wasn't bad at all. I was a little emotional earlier, then I realized that I was only thinking of myself and that it was the right thing to do and all went very well. I buried her with a large dog biscuit and the meat from the hamburgers. Sprayed the doghouses for fleas... all is well cept for this dang ankle. It swelled up like a goose egg. I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings! I am better today. cbow is home for the rest of the week and glad that "tax season" is over (she is a CPA in private practice).. oh, and my oldest grand daughter turns 10 today. We are taking her and her sister out for dinner. Grandkids make everything better, at least when they are kids. All better now!!! J

I could've destroyed every living thing within 15ft of me (srry, mom), and then burned my house down at that moment. Yeah... that is it exactly. Sorry about the cookies, J

Maybe there are things that are buried deep inside of you that are making you angry and quite possibly, it's time to eliminate or at least alter some of those things if they exist. I'm sure that is true Danny but it isn't always easy to change the way you became as a kid. I know there are things I would change if I could, no doubt. I guess it is easier for some than for others but I do try... usually fail but never give up. I'm not irritaded most of the time, most days are good. I think there has just been too much stress lately.... with the dog, other things that pop up, totaled car (no one hurt), another truck needs to be in the shop (later this week), I have to have a lot of classroom hours to keep my certified operator lisense for my business and I am behind... but I'll get caught up. Sometimes it seems like the older you get and the less energy you have... the more responsibity you have. All is well... as well as it can be.
