Do you like the RECORD ARM BUTTON of Tungsten Theme?
Will all respect to the great work done with Tungsten theme the record arm button is too hard to like. I guess its the colour, that dark red grabs lot of attention. If I open a project first thing that grabs the attention is that red button. Its like a danger sign in dark room that's intentionaly kept to get serious attention. When everything is dark this button got too much contrast? I dont know the technical details but it just doesnt seem to go well with the over all colour. It looks okay now when its armed but when unarmed looks terrible. It a overshading button in the entire layout really. Please make some change. Not that I cant live without it but the whole theme will look a lot better. If you are in please vote http://forum.cakewalk.com...-m3445271.aspx#3445271

Also a possible bug with the Record arm? When no input is selected its still possible to arm it using mouse click but then doesn't get unarmed unless by clicking the global button or using Alt+R. In case someone accidentally arms the track without selecting the input it gets a bit messy, especially with the smart swipe around.

FYI, I can't reproduce this on my system. If no input is selected, arming a track will automatically choose the first stereo input* of my audio interface. This is the default behaviour as long as I can remember using SONAR. And arm/unarm by mouse click works as expected here. Same when using a Control Surface. Sorry for not being very helpful... Edit: * stereo input independent of track interleave (changed with 2016.04)

I don't mind it "grabbing attention" but I do agree the record button is pretty cheesy looking...

I agree with the OP sentiment. I wasn't thinking cheesy until you described it that way. I would say it looks out of place, and not as elegant as the rest of the theme.

I think it's *supposed* to grab attention. You can see at a glance what's enabled and what's not. I don't mind it but hopefully the theme editor will appear soon and allow people to change stuff like this relatively easily.

I wouldn't call it "cheesy". I think the word I would use is "blinding"

IMO, the arm button should be red only when armed. But that's just me. Your mileage may vary.

It doesn't bother me as it is. Could it be better? Yes it could. Am I going to worry about it? No.

This is one reason why Cakewalk is doing a theme editor. For me, though, tinkering with the record button color isn't a priority...but I want to make the "punch on" button the brightest, most annoying color I can!

I like it this way. I can easily tell which tracks are armed and which aren't. It used to be less obvious, and tracks got erased because I missed disarming a track in a project with many tracks. I welcome this change.

I welcome this change. I'm pretty okay with it with the way it looks when Rec armed. I guess before the previous update it was even more bright like a red light when Armed. Which actually looked good kindoff emulating consoles. But even when not armed this button is so obvious on the eyes and looks odd spoiling the elegant design of theme. This post is abt how it looks when unarmed. See how subtile the same button is in Mercury. Here its the first thing that falls in our eyes, it looks odd as its a highly contrasting red kept midst of a total dark theme. Probably not something some would bother abt. But just like one annoying intrument in a fine mix. I really want it changed. Great if theme editer will help with that. Will be more happy if its changed in the theme itself, coz I love it when Sonar looks good.
