Do yourself a favor: get an SSD for your music software (samples)

I already new SSD's were fast but I just made a comparison for the first time by loading samples in Kontakt from my SSD and loading the same samples from my old fashioned hard disk. From the hard disk a specific patch was loaded in 50 seconds. From the SSD the same patch was loaded in 7 seconds... I already noticed Pre-Bass loaded about 10 times quicker on my new PC but I thought that also had to do with the faster CPU and so on. But it's the SSD on its own that makes a WORLD of difference!!! So for loading samples SSD's are just amazing! So do yourself a favor and get an SSD for your samples!!! I tested this because my SSD is almost full and I thought that maybe I could move some samples to my regular HD... No way, so I found out now: I will order a new SSD ASAP!

Sonar 8.5 PE, Edirol FA-66, Behringer C-1. All instruments in my songs are VSTi's.
