Docilely

It seems that things have been proceeding rather quietly down here lately, so I thought I'd offer the following word of the day for your consideration:

Docilely, adverb
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/docilely?qsrc=2446
doc·ile [dos-uhl; British doh-sahyl] Show IPA
adjective
1. easily managed or handled; tractable: a docile horse.
2. readily trained or taught; teachable.

Example sentences
They flee in panic, wander aimlessly in shock, or comply docilely with the recommendations of authorities.

It's been a pleasure training teaching you! Thank you for your continued compliance! Cheers!

In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.

    I'm complying here.

    A. flee in panic
    B. wander aimlessly in shock
    C. comply docilely with the recommendations of authorities.

Someone told me the answer was always C. Though personally I sort of like "B", who am I to question?

I was thinking about getting all upset about the fact that you are promoting the use of adverbs, but I decided to wait and see what the Bapu does.

And upsettingly, I'm actively promoting them to boot.
