I'm guessing no, but maybe there's an update that I don't know about?

    The answer is...NO.

If I recall correctly...the rounded faders changes are done by hacking the resources in the TTSRES85.dll file.  This file typically changes with every release.  If you want the fancy faders, you have a number of options...
    • Hack the file yourself
    • Wait for someone else to hack it
    • Ask Cakewalk to round the faders (for everyone) on the next release.
    • Consider that it was fun while it lasted...but then realize that it's just too much work to redo it for every release.

Well, I just downloaded it...and ran the 64bit version and it tells me no such file exists to replace.  So...no love, as yet.

If I go to http://www.somhairle.com/SonarUItweaks.html that Telecaster posted, I get the download page,
I can download the file (which I thought would be a zip file, like in the past) it downloads a 7z file.
I don't know what this is, or how to open/install it?

"EDIT" ok , I see 7z is a zip file file (something new?) I downloaded a 7z file extractor......I'll see if it works?

Ok, I'm able to extract the file and open it, but after doing so, I keep getting a "file to be patched does not exist!" message.

I know that it does exist ( I looked) I can't figure out how to patch it?

Are you trying to install it from the desktop or some other folder? You have to use it in the actual Sonar folder where the TTSRES85.dll file resides.

    That did the trick!!!

I was trying to install/patch from my desktop. The patch needs to be in/patched from the actual Cake folder!

I'm having a problem with these links.

If I go to http://www.somhairle.com/SonarUItweaks.html  Billy Bucks link, I get the "meow" Error 404/not found page

If I go to http://www.somhairle.com/SonarUItweaks.html that Telecaster posted, I get the download page,

I was wondering what was up with that link...had me scratching my head there for a sec....the first one has "%C2%A0" added at the end which you only see if you copy the link location.

Thanks for chipping in mudgel/Resonant Order, appreciated.

Sijel: I have new faders for the Mackie 160, but the work-around involves a Hammer and Chisel! hahaha ;)

I still don't get it.  I copied the file "Buddy110_PatchPack_Sonar_8.5.3.7z"  into my C:\Programs\Cakewalk\Sonar 8.5 folder, then ran the app "7-Zip File Manager" on that file in that location.  Something looked like it was being extracted but no change to the faders.  What am I doing wrong?
