Does Sonar X1 have a doubler?

Waves has a real nice doubler  http://waves.com/content.aspx?id=246 .

Here is a waves video on using their doubler with a guitar.  http://waves.com/content.aspx?id=11292

Sounds nice.  So, is there a similar feature that can be used with guitars in Sonar X1?

Thanks for looking!

X1 expanded FX chain could recreate most of  that using a few of the available plugins. Vocal strip (like yorolpal mentioned) combined with Channel tools and sonitus modulator and a pitch shifter.

cecelius: the doubler is nice, and auctualy the old MXR flanger
doubler did that process realy well..now many times i  use tripple
tracks and off set the left and right tracks a little..keeping the center untouchd, this is a very pleasing process, very often used in many of the recordings you hear to this day, its killer on vocals

I tried using the triple track method but I am getting a phased sound instead of a wider vocal.

Yep. I think my main vocal has been recorded a little off centre. My bad. That could be why the phasing.

I read this thread yesterday and went home and messed with the doubler in the vx vocal strip.  Nice.  I totally forgot it was there, and simply building off the preset "vocal hook" or something like that, I got some nice results.  Check it out if you haven't.

He means offset in time, not pan position, though this does help as well.

What's the difference between using a doubler and manually doing the haas trick?

Channel tools works very well for creating the haas trick and you don't have to make a second copy of the track with delay plugin  to do it. Just insert the channel tools plugin pan the left and right  and set the delay time on one side of the channel tools plug to taste. Don't forget to enable the stereo switch on the existing track or you might not hear the true effect. Works great on acoustic guitar.

I started a thread a few days ago asking about the best way to do ADL by which i meant vocal doubling.

Any specifics on invoking vocal strip and doing doubling would be greatly appreciated.  My TC Helicon Voice Works Plus does a good job but it is outboard so it is not as convenient.  Thanks.

No specifics really konrad - just insert the plug, engage the Doubler and adjust to taste.

Though I do feel there's more flexibility by using a short delay such as the Sonitus
