Does Sonar X1 make greater demands on video cards than previous Sonar versions?

The reason I ask is that I am testing Sonar X1 LE on my office computer (which also has Sonar 7 installed) and when comparing the playback of an identical wave file with identical audio and buffer settings and identical graphics card, the X1 LE playback produces unacceptable time display delays.  It takes over 1 second for the MBT counter to begin after the wave file begins playing.  Sonar 7 does not have this issue at all.  I know it is not a Pause Button (on keyboard) issue, it is also not an audio setting issue as I've tried using different latency and buffer settings.  Actually, it is not an audio problem at all, it is a visual display issue.

Does Sonar X1 make greater demands on the video card?  Before purchasing a new DAW to run it, I'd like to get the right video card in the first place.

Thanks in advance,

    In short: YES.

Aside from the obvious footprint differences, of which higher res displays are preferred and thus require more horsepower to run; I upgraded my graphics card which has worked well for everything once I got X1 and noticed performance gains across the board. X1 now runs very smoothly as a result.
