Does Sonar X3e Producer have a signal routing map ?

As my question says, is there a signal routing map feature available somewhere in some form inside Sonar ?
Like say, now I have a number of tracks, routed to a number of different buses, and sends on tracks routed to different buses or side-chains to plugins and so on. After a while, it could get complex. I know I could expand each track on track view or console view and check each signal out and send out and so on.

But is there a one glance map-like view of the whole routing scene somewhere in Sonar ?
As an illustrative example of what it is that I am looking for, those who use NI Reaktor could relate to the structure view of the macros and modules which has the complete signal routing of the cells visually illustrated.

Well then, it needs to be there. Time for a feature request...

You mean like the routing matrix in Reaper? I always liked that.

I didn't know about the reaper routing matrix. Just looked up a video now. That was cool. Thanks sharke. Here's the link in case others who didn't know want to look it up :

I was just looking for a signal routing viewing feature. But in the reaper matrix, you could also actually change the routing or assign sends on the go right on the matrix. Now that's great for workflow and also trying outcomes of different routing scenarios on the fly. Something like this could do wonders for Sonar users I am sure. Cake bakers...listening ?

I guess a new view (like the matrix view, tempo view, event list view, etc.) called say, "Signal Flow view" could be introduced in which one can view and change routing options. What say ? Of course, existing ways of doing things need to stay. This could be an additional view feature...

We had a thread a while back on the signal flow, but I think subsequent to that there was a blog post, which is here:

That sure is a useful blog to understand the signal flow concept and how it happens in Sonar. Thanks for sharing.

But I was talking about a live view option in Sonar which would have an automatically plotted out signal flow / routing scene for a project in function. Cheers...

I understand what you want. I've been asking for that (printable) for like 10 years. My experience - might as well forget about it.

The more people that send in a feature request, the more it will be taken seriously, and I think it's a great idea

Agree... the voting system in feature requests is really nice and with the ongoing upgrades system, posting this kind of thing and getting it voted up... It would be exciting to start seeing intelligent ideas from the forum ranked and implemented... Naturally, ranked vs difficulty are two independent factors impacting the "baking" choices...

While I understand some saying, "I asked for this and nothing happened so...." the fact is we are in a new world, new model, new team, and new realm of opportunity to share our thoughts and vote on them... it's worth devoting some time to see how well it plays out as today is not yesteryear...

I have put in a post for this in the Features and Ideas forum. Please go ahead and vote if you too think its a good idea and a good new feature to have. And yes, please do chip in with your ideas on this one too...
