Does Sonar work with m-audio fasttrack?

I've been using Cakewalk since the day I bought Cakewalk 2002, which was in 2002 I belive...

It's a great program, and I've learned alot from it, but at this day, I bought the m-audio fasttrack, and I mic too, but it doesn't work with Cakewalk (I just get a pop-up that says it doesn't work, and I can select disable or usa anyway)

So, at this point, I wonder. Does Sonar suport m-audio fasttrack?

sounds like sonar doesnt want to share the drivers,so something else is using the fast track. do you have the most current drivers? because manypeople here have M-audio products that work fairly well. just make sure nothig else is using the fast track while sonar is using or trying to use it hope this helps

    Roland XP-60

And they said i couldnt do it...

The fast track should work just fine. What type of sound card and driver are you using in Sonar ? What you might be experianceing is the ASIO single driver limit. If you use WDM for both you can use the sound card and the fast track at the same time.

It's not sonar, it's Cakewalk music creator 2002...

I belive I have all drivers for fasttrack, and I think fasttrack is set as my audio card (which makes alot better sound)

If you guys know a way to help me out it will be very appreciated.

Disable any other (onboard) audio device in BIOS.

For what it's worth: i have Sonar running with a Fast Track USB [1.1 specification nonetheless] and it works just fine with the onboard AC97 enabled as well. It's WDM implementation leaves something to be desired but the ASIO drivers are very good all things considered.

If you have any specific question, let me know.

Well, I don't know if Sonar works the same way as Cakewalk 2002, but anyway.

Question: How do I get it to work with Cakewalk?
All I want to do is to record voice, but can't figure it out.

Unfortunately i have no experience with Home Studio is it? I noticed the thread 'Fast Track with Sonar' and replied so i don't think i can provide any specifics as to configuration with Home Studio.

Did you try the folks over at the Home Studio forum?

Please forgive me if i misunderstand your question.

    Ok, SpiderHasLegs.

I'm trying out Sonar demo, and fasttrack works much better.
But I couldn't find out how do use fasttrack as audio output.

Also, the recordings became very low :(, any tip?
