Does any on make dark music??
I was wondering if any one here makes dark music a combination of hip hop, horrorcore, and rock. I would love to hear something like that. I rap and i would love to link up with some people who have a dark style like my self.

Anything and everything as long as you are using Sonar or one of the cakewalk products in it's production/creation. Post a notice/warning if the lyrics are less than family friendly. We do have kids here on occasion.

Most of the musicians here seem to be guitarists and do rock or singer songwriter stuff. Do yourself a favor and listen to it. Many come here for techique tips etc., and you'll find some very "pro" sounding work done at home studios. You'll find some "darker" or heavier stuff at my site listed below, MGH does speed/death metal, and there are plenty of others here that do "darker" music. You just have to dig some. I don't know if you can go back so far at the P5 forum, but that was more electronic music. And post some of your own when you get the count to post. You'll find that people that don't necessarily make your kind of music can apply their ears to yours, giving good tips. @

And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

If you hang here long enough you will find people into all kinds of music. Like AT said..listen to the songs posted. It's pretty obvious that the dominate form (s) of music here is rock in its various incarnations. There are people here who work on rap but most threads on the subject degenerate into bashing of the genre so it does not come up often these days.
Personally I don't listen to much rap for personal enjoyment but due to business and volunteer obligations I occasionally find myself mixing it or creating music videos. I did a music video recently for a local horrorcore like rapper. All these subgenres get hard to track.
Bottomline is there are people here who will collaborate but there will be the occasional high horse encounter along the way.

Thank you all for taking the time to answer my question. I have checked other music posted up on this site and yes it's mostly rock in here. I think if we mixed some rock with my style of rap and if we go about it the right way it can come out very unique a nice. Maybe we can bring to life some of the dark stories in the bible in this colaberation. One example of a dark story in the bible would be the passage about the fallen angeles.

I think you will find more people willing to collaborate once they get a better sense of who you are. I'm sure you have encountered those who make assumptions about you based on your lyrics. The horrocore video I did for a rapper freaked out my relatives but the rapper himself was a normal guy and father who lives a quiet life on a country farm. He doesn't believe in god or satan but he knows it makes good theater. I volunteer at a studio. I'll pass your songs along to the people who come and see if any bite on collab

Still within the 'rock' end of the spectrum but my this is my personal favourite band with 'dark' music that frequent the forum; http://www.distant-towers.com/begin.htm Great advice from 'dubdisciple' btw..you will find a handful of people here who will give you a hard time just because of the word 'rap', but by and large most people are friendly and open-minded.

No Dark side here, though I have been accused of writing dark sounds. Not that much into rap though.
