Does anybody here play live with CbB?

Hello!

I wonder if anybody could guide me to the best approach to play live keys with CbB?
I would like to create patches and change them on the fly, something like MainStage.

Thank you!!

Are you talking about having a project in Cakewalk by Bandlab and then running MainStage separately?

By the way MainStage is an Apple product and I don't think it will run on Windows.

Studio: Sonar Platinum/Cakewalk by Bandlab Intel Core i7 32GB RAM Samsung Evo 1TB system drive Windows 10 64bit - RME FireFace UFX - Focusrite OctoPre MK II - Audient Mico

Mobile: Sonar Platinum/Cakewalk by Bandlab Intel Core i7 8GB RAM Samsung Evo 1TB system drive Windows 10 64bit - RME FireFace 400

Thank you for you reply, karhide. But what I actually wanted is to use only Cakewalk (and its vsti) to play live, changing patches in a fashion like how MainStage works. I am used to Sonar/Cakewalk, but I am now playing in a band.

Your taking about using a DAW as a VST host. Any DAW can be used this way but it's a bit clunky. It's not what DAW's are optimized for.  There is software specifically made for VST hosting that the Pro's use for live performance.
Off the top of my head I do believe Reason,  Ableton.  Cantabile is a popular one I think.

Maybe take a look at Akai VIP software.  They have playlists that can load multis that you create with up to eight VST instruments in your collection.  Run it as standalone, or as a plugin in your favorite DAW. https://youtu.be/RsG-89JoA-Q

VIP standard is currently on sale for $49.  https://www.pluginboutiqu...-AKAI-VIP-3-1-Standard

DAW: CbB; Sonar Platinum, and others ...
