Does anyone else throw things in the trash only to...?
1) Retrieve them 2 or 3 days later? 2) Find them on craigslist for $100? 3) Be awakened at 3AM by the neighbor's dog rummaging through you garbage trying to get it? 4) Spend the next 3 weeks looking for it because you forgot you threw it away?

Back in my late teens/early 20's there was more than one occasion in which I accidentally threw away my last piece of hash and was more than willing to sift through rotting piles of leftovers to retrieve it. In retrospect I should have just called it a night

There is an excellent second-hand bookshop near me. I'm always impressed by how they stack the books in the non-fiction section using the Dewey Decimal System! Anyway, whenever my bookshelves start to get a little crowded I donate some of my books to this particular shop. Needless to say on numerous occasions I've gone in there and unwittingly bought back books I've previously donated It seems to be getting worse the older I get

Hi, NOPE. When it hits the trash .. it is GONE! And that includes software and computer parts! I forgot to add that I can not bring myself to throw all the Coffee House folks in the trash. Somehow they seem more better (?) than otherwise.

As a wise Guy once stated from his holy chapala ... none of the hits, none of the time ... prevents you from becoming just another turkey in the middle of all the other turkeys!

And everyone knows, according the Test Taker's Handbook of Probable Answers, "C" is almost always the correct answer.... right?!

I'll see your 4 and raise you one there soens: I'll keep stuff for years & years - even decades, thinking "I know I'll use this some day". Then after decades of keeping & moving things around from place to place & address to address, I'll eventually say to myself, "Gee I never did use this - might as well finally chuck it." THEN...months or even just weeks later, I'll finally come up with a use for something that I just chucked after all those years, [or forget I chucked it (them)], and then spend umpteen hours looking for it (them) like a crazed mad-man!
