Does it cost $750 to update for a year now that I missed the lifetime offer?

So, I stopped going to the forum for a long time and was only receiving emails in Japanese so discontinued them and missed the lifetime update. I wrote Cakewalk to explain the situation and seems there is nothing I can do about it. A little sad on my part as I have owned every product since the beginning. They accept no responsibility for the error and though I received an email from them explaining the offer has expired , I still do not receive an English newsletter.  So, I pulled myself out of the dirt and decided to go ahead and get a year's worth of updates, but when I go to the site under my name I am asked for 81.000yen for a years upgrade. ($710.00). Surely that is not right.

i wouldn't think so (don't know what exchange rate would do/be), also i think you have to actually add it to your cart to see the actual price you will pay (it changes?) you don't have to go through with the purchase, you can cancel out after adding to your cart, give it a try

    EUR page - https://shop.cakewalk.com/1244/catalog/product.153207/language.en/currency.EUR/?id=MvJlpIKmte
    YEN page - https://shop.cakewalk.com/1244/catalog/catalog.1307/product.153207/?id=MvJlpIKmte&crel=currencyId

    SONAR Platinum Upgrade/renewal Pricing Available:

Customers who own previous SONAR products qualify for discounted upgrade/renewal pricing on the new SONAR. Click 'Buy Now' and log in to see the best upgrade/renewal price available to you. Be sure to create an account the the same email as your prior product registrations.

The yen price PAY ONE TIME: ¥92,250
The euro price PAY ONE TIME: €537.51

The YEN price converted is definitely more expensive - ¥92,250 = €746

But this is a one of price for the first year. My special price as previous owner is €437 ( €100 less )

So it looks like if I had not got the lifetime upgrade I would be paying €437 per annum.

So based on the difference between the buy new one time prices above ( difference is €746-€537=€200 ). I imagine the OP is not  that far off with the $750 Per annum price.

Add €200 to my upgrade price of €437 and you get €637.  €637 converts to about $692 at the current exchange rate ( Google )

EDIT: THE LINK PROVIDED ABOVE BY SCOOK SORTS THIS  ( That appeared while I was writing this ). It would appear the OP was going the WRONG route that I also went.

I am a bit rusty in the shop because i have the lifetime so dont visit the shop that much anymore

I believe this is a temporary fix while Cakewalk works on updating the store.
